Bitmap VS. Vector
Graphics
Bitmap images are made
up of pixels, or colored
dots. These are best used
for high detail in specific
sizes. Making an image
larger or smaller will result
in definite quality loss and
may make the image
unusable.
Vector images are complex
mathematical shapes with
solid fills. these are
infinitely scaleable from
very small to billboard size
with no loss of quality.
Vector images require
specialized software.
